Anon: had to call and pay for own locksmith to fix the door

The on call after hours maintenance service will never actually come for an emergency call. Many of the the apartments are wired on a single 15 amp circuit breaker. Its barely enough current to run a small microwave, a few lights and a refrigerator. The circuit breaker is locked in the basement.

If the breaker is tripped over night the emergency maintenance service refuses to come. While you sit in a powerless apartment for 8 or 9 hours they will tell you that your problem is not an emergency and can wait until the next day. Apartment was rented out with non working shower, missing front door lock and window frames which had separated from the building wall. It has never been fixed despite multiple requests. Had to hire outside locksmith and pay for the lock repairs myself.
